The 205 AC DC TIG Welder is a 15 Amp 240 volt, digitally controlled, High-Frequency AC/DC TIG (GTAW) and Stick (MMAW) inverter. This unit is specifically designed for the budget-conscious user who doesn’t want to sacrifice quality or weld results. With its compact casing and IP23S rating the 205 AC/DC is ideal for indoor or outdoor use around the workshop and is easy to carry and manoeuvre into hard-to-reach places when doing light fabrication and maintenance of mild steels, stainless steels and aluminium.

In TIG mode the unit has all the features required to customise your welding preferences – High Frequency (HF), Up/Down Slope, Pre/Post Flow, 2T/4T Trigger Function, Spot Mode and Gas Purge for AC or DC TIG welding. When welding in AC only, Frequency and Wave Balance can be refined with impressive adjustability and when operating in Pulse Mode the user has full flexibility to adjust Frequency, Width and Peak Current.

In Stick mode, the 205 AC/DC features VRD, Anti-Stick and Hot Start and can weld with up to 4mm electrodes.

The CIGWELD WeldSkill 205 AC/DC comes as a complete kit with an 8m Remote Control TIG Torch, Argon Regulator/Flowmeter, 4m Electrode Holder and Work Clamp and a TIG Accessory Kit with tungstens, nozzles, collets etc. to get you up and welding in no time.

• Pulse Frequency Operates in Pulse TIG modes only. It is used to set the pulse frequency in pulse modes. Adjustable Range is 0.2 to 200Hz
• Pulse Width Operates in TIG Pulse modes only. This parameter sets the percentage Of the time of the pulse frequency for Peak weld current when the Pulse is On. Adjustable Range is 10 to 90%
• AC Frequency Operates in AC TIG mode only. It is used to set the frequency for AC weld current. Adjustable Range is 20 to 250Hz.
• Wave Balance Operates in AC TIG mode only. This is used to set the penetration to cleaning action ratio. Adjustable Range is 10% to 65%.
• Pre-Flow/Post-Flow Operates in TIG modes only. It controls gas to the weld zone. The pre-Flow range is 0.1 to 1.0 seconds. The post-Flow range is 0.5 to 30 seconds.
• Gas Purge Allows the Shielding Gas system to be purged and shielding gas flow rates to be set without live welding output. (In TIG Modes).
• Initial Current Operates in 4T TIG modes only. Used to set the start current value for TIG. The adjustable range is 10 to 205A.
• Crater Current Operates in 4T TIG modes only. Used to set the finish current value for TIG. The adjustable range is 10 to 205A.
• Up Slope/Down Slope Operates in TIG modes only. Used to set the time for weld current to either ramp up or ramp down. Up Slope adjustable range is 0 to 15 seconds Down Slope Adjustable range is 0 to 25 seconds.
• Peak Current Operates in TIG modes only. It sets the Peak weld current when in Pulse mode.
• Trigger Mode (2T/4T) Trigger Mode control switches between 2T (normal) and 4T (latch mode) in TIG Modes.
